New search engine for local shoppers

Online News Flash;
Since the birth of Google search engines have become part and parcel of our daily lives.

So it is hardly surprising that consumers begin researching a new fridge, Whirlpool Washing Machines or other big-ticket items that are needed in a hurry, online at their favorite search engine.

This is going to be a very common occurrence this summer. Consumer research estimates that up to 75% of big-ticket product buyers will do all their product research online, but 90% of them will make their final purchases offline at local retailers. Product research online often starts with the search engines, but search engines typically are unable to find and deliver results pinpointing specific local stores with specific products consumers are looking for.

Happily the entry of a new search engine called Krillion is set to change everything. The new search engine scours the Web to find, integrate and present actionable local search results for the ready-to-buy consumer. Krillion was only launched in February 2007.
